The airport isn't in Bodrum town
Milas-Bodrum Airport sits in the Milas district, around 17 km from Milas and 35–37 km from Bodrum.
That means even if your hotel is described as being in "Bodrum", you'll usually still have a road journey after landing. Resorts farther around the peninsula can be around an hour away.
